Shilpa Shetty from Baazigar to Dishkiyaoon.....

Born to a traditional family in Manglore Shilpa shetty made start of her career with Limca ad in 1991 at the age of 16, and made her film debut in 1993 with Baazigar.After that she has appeard in mostly 40  Bollywood, Tamil, Telugu and Kannada films.

She was a part of Celebrity Big Brother 5 reality TV series in 2007 and was declared the winner.

 

CONTROVERSY WITH SHILPA SHETTY:

On April 15, 2007, Richard Gere kissed Shetty on the cheek several times in jest during an AIDS-awareness event. The kiss, considered an attack on India’s cultural and moral values, prompted protesters – alleged members of the extremist Hindu group Shiv Sena – to beat burning effigies of Gere with sticks.  

On April 26, 2007, an Indian court in Rajasthan issued a warrant for Shetty and Gere’s arrest. But these negative issues never pulled her back.. Shilpa  Shetty responded to these protests by saying, "I understand this (kissing) is his (Gere's) culture, not ours. But this was not a big thing or so obscene for people to overreact in such a manner. I struggle to understand these people's sentiments, but mainly I do not want a foreigner to take bad memories from here."

In April 2006, a Madurai court issued non-bailable warrants against Shetty and Reemma Sen for "posing in an obscene manner" in photographs published by a Tamil newspaper.She further claimed "As far as my photographs go, what is obscene about it? If navel-showing is obscenity, then our traditional Indian outfit – the traditional sari – should be banned in the first place”
Shilpa Shetty married  Raj Kundra on 22 November 2009 and gave birth to her first child in 2012.

Today besides acting Shilpa is an investor in the IPL cricket team Rajasthan Royals, an investor in a fast food chain in England.

She made her last appearence in the movie Dishkiyaoon  for the song "Tu Mere Type Ka Nahi Hai"

Filmmaker Shankar describes actor Vikram CRAZY!!

The much awaited movie of the year ‘I’ director SHANKAR says Vikram's dedication for upcoming Tamil magnum opus "I" as "crazy" and mad"

"For the role of the bodybuilder, I requested Vikram to put on weight. He worked extremely hard for it and we were happy with the output. For the other role of a disfigured man, I never asked Vikram to lose weight but he felt it would suit the role," Shankar told IANS.

"I said it was not required but he was hell bent on achieving it as he found it to be exciting. He was madly dedicated for the role. Going by whatever he's gone through for the film, I sometimes felt he was crazy. But all that worked in favour of the film," he said.

Shankar said he was extremely concerned about Vikram's health.

"It's not easy to gain and lose weight for the same film. He didn't just lose a few kilos, but he lost so much weight that I was worried about his health. I even told his wife that I had never asked him to lose weight," he added.

Also starring Amy Jackson, Upen Patel and Suresh Gopi, "I" is slated for a early January 2015 release.
