Aamir Khan felicitated with US Award

Aamir Khan was felicitated with Inaugural America Abroad Media Award alongside Oscar-winning director Kathryn Bigelow for his popular TV show “Satyamev Jayate”.

Aamir Khan who by and large doesn’t grace with his presence on award shows was too happy this time to accept award. He was accompanied by his wife and filmmaker Kiran Rao.

Satyamev Jayate Season 1 was massive success and the work for season two has already begun and is likely to be aired  on Jan 2014.This show has highlighted social issues in India and many other sensitive issues.

"My main aim is to really work in India and to sensitize people about issues and see that we can find solutions to our own issues back home. I am looking to talking to Indians," he added after receiving the award.

Balyakalasakhi Starring Mammooty & Isha Talwar

Movie adaptation of the famous novel Balyakalasakhi (romantic tragedy) written by the great Vaikom Muhammad Basheer is in movement.This novel was published in the year 1944 and is considered as one of the best works of Basheer. Story revolves around Majeed and Suhra who are in love from childhood.

Superstar Mammooty plays Majeed whereas Isha Talwar who became famed by playing the appealing Muslim Girl in Vineeth Sreenivasan's Thattathin Marayathu will play the role of Suhra in this movie. Award winning actress Seema Biswas is also a part of this film.The director of the film Pramod Payyanur announced about Balyakalasakhi on the occurrence of Mohammed Basheer's 104th birthday. The shoot is moving ahead in Kolkata.

#3D Version of Sholay

The 3D version of the 1975  Bollywod classic film Sholay is expected to be released by  January 2014.Earlier the 3D version was said to be released on the 71st birthday of  Amitabh Bachchan. The makers of this classic film have spent three years on the 3D Project.

"It's an old film. We don't want to rush to cinemas for a one-week window because this is not like a 'Chennai Express' or any new film which gets a big opening," said the presenter of film Gada.

Remake of the iconic film will be promoted by Amitabh Bachchan and Dharmendra. According to the box office the initial release of the film had earned $25 million. The film will not be having any new scenes.

Ramji Rao Speaking Third Part

Third part of Ramji Rao Speaking is on the way .Like the prior films this film will also have Innocent, Saikumar and Mukesh along with some new faces. Aparna Gopinath of ‘ABCD’ and Basil is also expected to be in this film. This film will be directed by Mammas who has directed films like  ‘Pappi Appacha’ and ‘Cinema Company’

Ramji Rao Speaking  directed by Sidhique Lal was released in the year 1989 and the second part ‘Mannar Mathai Speaking’ was directed by Mani.

Krrish 3 aims at Rs.1,000 crore

Krish3 is set to be released and filmmaker Rakesh Roshan hopes "Krrish 3" will cross 1000 crore. Both the preceding films, 'Koi…Mil Gaya' and 'Krrish' were massively successful at the box office. Hrithik Roshan who had suffered back injury and was bed ridden went ahead and completed the shoot. Actor Vivek Oberoi is playing the role of super villain Kaal in the film

Ghajini  was the first Bollywood film to cross the mark of 100 crores. Since then movies like 3 Idiots,Bodyguard , Dabangg, Don 2 and many more have crossed these marks . Lets see whether Krrish3 will be a hit or not……………

Dulquer Salmaan's debut in Tamil

 

Dulquer Salmaan is going to debut in Kollywood. Nazriya whos has already done movies like Neram, Raja Rani in Tamil will be co-star with Dulquer . Film is said to be a romantic comedy and will be will be shot and released in both Malayalam and Tamil. Kolaveri musician Anirudh will make the music for the film.

Dulquer tweeted, "Super excited about my Tamil project with @directormbalaji...."

Ilayathalapathy Vijay and Shreya Ghoshal sings for Jilla

Great news for the Vijay fans….

Now it’s definite that Superstar Vijay has recorded a lovely melody track with Shreya Ghoshal. Composer Imman  has tweeted like this "#Jilla Its official guys!! Recorded Vijay Annan for an ethnic melodious number with shreya ghoshal..Lyric by Vairamuthu sir..Praise God!"

Kajal Agarwal is pairing opposite Vijay in Jilla that also casts Mohanlal as lead role.Jilla is being shot in Osaka Japan.The film is anticipated to release during Pongal holidays next year. Vijay has already sung chartbuster songs for films Thuppakki and Thalaivaa.

Mohanlal’s New Heroine!

Guess who’s is going to debut in Malayalam with Mohanlal?? It’s none other than American Indian actress Pooja Kumar of Viswaroopam fame. Former Miss India USA Pooja will pair with Mohanlal in the comedy based film “Peruchazhi”, to be directed by Arun Vaidyanathan.

Pooja has acted in other films like Kaadhal Rojave, Anjaana Anjaani, Bollywood Beats and Anything For You. At present Pooja is working in Kamal Haasan's Vishwaroopam 2.
