This Film is based on the story of famous writer Vaikkom Muhammed Basheer.Published in the year 1944, it is considered by many as Basheer's most excellent work.The story revolves around Majeed (Mammootty) and Suhara (Isha Talwar).Their childhood love grows stronger as they grow up but their families are not in favor of their love.

Balyakalasakhi Starring Mammooty & Isha Talwar

Movie adaptation of the famous novel Balyakalasakhi (romantic tragedy) written by the great Vaikom Muhammad Basheer is in movement.This novel was published in the year 1944 and is considered as one of the best works of Basheer. Story revolves around Majeed and Suhra who are in love from childhood.

Superstar Mammooty plays Majeed whereas Isha Talwar who became famed by playing the appealing Muslim Girl in Vineeth Sreenivasan's Thattathin Marayathu will play the role of Suhra in this movie. Award winning actress Seema Biswas is also a part of this film.The director of the film Pramod Payyanur announced about Balyakalasakhi on the occurrence of Mohammed Basheer's 104th birthday. The shoot is moving ahead in Kolkata.
