collected Rs 44 crore worldwide till now and seems to break all records in the
box office. Kochadaiiyan was released in 2D and 3D on May 23 in six languages
in over 3,000 screens worldwide. This film marks the directorial debut of
Rajinikanth’s daughter Soundarya R Ashwin.The film also has Deepika Padukone
and Jacky Shroff making the movie very special.

48-year-old fiance, Brad Pitt had claimed that he will soon quit acting for
directing in gap of three years

an interview given 37-year-old actress said “I think I’m going to have to give
up the acting as the kids hit the teenage years, anyway, too much to manage at
home,” she revealed to Britain’s
Channel 4 News. “I have enjoyed being an actress. I am so grateful to the job

a part of stories that mattered and I have done things for fun, but…”

Rahman
had to do lot of research on the Tamil folk songs of the 1930’s – 40’s period
to come up with these 20 songs. He had to move out from the English fantasy
film Seventh Son to make time for “Kaaviya Thalaivan”. Rahman had prior
conveyed that he had used the folk music and ragams to bring in the 1930s feel.
“Kaaviya
Thalaivan” tells the story of group of
theatre actors, set in the 1930s and their stage musical plays in Madurai.
Speaking
at the function, one of the film's producers Shashikanth said "I had a
list of directors whom I should not work with in the industry and Vasanta Balan
was among those in the list. Many told me that Vasanta Balan will take one to
two years to complete a project. But then, those words from others in the
industry made me pick Balan and just like my banner 'Y Not' we broke our
previous antics about Balan and started the project Kaaviya Thalaivan".
Shashikanth
added "Vasanta Balan proved everyone wrong by completing the film within 5
months and now we are having plenty of time for post production".
Shashikanth thanked "AR Rahman for his wonderful songs and also Siddharth
for helping the team to rope in AR Rahman for the project".
With
20 songs from the legend AR Rahman we can expect another run for the Osacrs.
